It goes without saying that as a writer and a blogger, I love stationary. Whether it’s yet another notebook or pens and pencils, I need to have it all. I would much rather shop for writing materials than clothes, no shopping trip is complete without buying something writing related. I’m also really getting into interior design and making our home a lovely place to live, especially as we can’t move just yet. I might as well make the best out of a not-so-great situation by buying cute prints and accessories for our home. And the best bit about it is that when we move, I can bring it all with me and create the same setup wherever we go.
A couple of weeks ago, I heard of Old English Company. They’re based in Stamford which isn’t that far from me and shopping locally is always a plus for me. They create beautifully hand written products, from homeware to stationary. Their homeware is gorgeous, it’s made up of pretty much every accessory you need in your home. Tea towels, coasters, aprons and even serving boards…you won’t know you’re missing something until you find it in their shop. I’ve had my eye on a notebook or two and a planner from them for a while, I just haven’t gotten around to ordering them. They also sell cards and prints too, something for everyone. If you like quirky designs, I’m confident that you’ll find something from them that you’ll fall in love with and need to order. I’m seriously considering buying these pillowcases for me and Gareth when we get married!
As well as homeware and stationary, they also have a new range of enamel pins. They’re all made to the highest quality which is what you want from a pin. You don’t want one which isn’t going to last the test of time. I’m a huge fan of them, I think they’re the perfect way to show your interest in something without being too in your face if you don’t want to be. Whether you attach them to your handbag or jacket, they can really make an outfit and they’re a great way to accessorize. Motivational quotes, “mama” titles and funny puns are all on pins Old English Company offer and they’re all really cute. My personal favourites are the “Mama Bear” one (because if anyone was to attack my cubs, I would turn all fierce and protective!) and the “Don’t Worry, Bee Happy” quote on a bee shaped pin…I’m a sucker for any sort of cheesy pun.
If you fancy the chance of winning a set of three enamel pins from their range, click here and you’ll be taken to their website where details of the competition can be found, including how to enter. Or if you want to look at the entire collection of their enamel pins, follow this link and see which other designs they offer.
Go on, head over there and see if they’ve got anything that grabs your fancy. And while you’re there, enter their competition. What have you got to lose?
Disclaimer: Old English Company contacted me and asked if I would promote their competition in exchange for a gift. All of the views and opinions expressed in this post are mine and I haven’t been influenced in any way, nor have I been told what to write.
